Capital B SA, Europe’s first publicly listed Bitcoin Treasury Company, announced on September 14, 2026, that it has acquired 4 Bitcoin for approximately €0.27 million.
The purchase brings the group’s total holdings to 3,525 BTC as part of its Bitcoin Treasury Company strategy. The company is listed on Euronext Growth Paris under the ticker ALCPB with a U.S. ticker of CPTLF.
According to the official announcement, the acquisition followed the final completion of a capital increase. The capital increase raised €249,651.04 through the issuance of 44,227 new ordinary shares at an average subscription price of €5.64 per share. The shares were issued under an “ATM”-type capital increase contract with TOBAM.
The decision was made by the chief executive officer using a delegation of authority granted by the board of directors under the 16th resolution approved at the general meeting of shareholders on June 17, 2026. The price reflects an adjustment for a reverse stock split whose entry into force was announced on September 8, 2026.
Distinct approaches to corporate bitcoin accumulation
Capital B joins the race of accumulating BTC to its treasury, similar to Strategy and Strive, however, the approaches for all the firms differ.
Capital B operates with measured, equity-financed increments inside a European listing framework. Strategy functions at a significantly larger absolute scale and periodically balances purchases against preferred-share dynamics and reserve requirements. Strive emphasizes speed of accumulation through a preferred-stock structure intended to limit common-share dilution when SATA trades near par.
Strategy Inc., formerly MicroStrategy, held 845,050 BTC as of mid-September 2026, more than 4 percent of bitcoin’s fixed supply, at an average acquisition cost of approximately $75,412 per coin. Strategy has funded large purchases through at-the-market sales of common and preferred shares.
In recent periods the company directed capital toward repurchasing its STRC preferred shares and maintaining a multi-billion-dollar USD reserve under its Digital Credit Capital Framework, leaving bitcoin holdings unchanged for consecutive weeks. Strategy continues to monitor bitcoin-per-share metrics while managing preferred obligations and cash reserves alongside accumulation.
Strive Inc., trading on Nasdaq as ASST, held 25,000 BTC as of September 11, 2026, after purchasing 469 bitcoin for about $36.6 million at an average of roughly $77,954 per coin. Strive has expanded holdings rapidly since 2025, frequently financing acquisitions through its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Preferred Stock (SATA).
SATA is a variable-rate perpetual preferred stock with a $100 stated amount and daily cash dividends. In multiple recent intervals, SATA proceeds supplied the majority of capital for bitcoin purchases, with common equity sales providing a smaller portion. Strive applies bitcoin as its internal hurdle rate for capital allocation decisions.
