Crypto Exchange Kraken launches mobile app for U.S. customers. The Kraken app has already been launched in Europe since January of this year. The new apps will allow many users across the U.S. to securely buy and sell 50+ crypto tokens from their mobile according to a CNBC report.
“This consumer app is our first major foray into supporting wider consumer adoption in a much more simplified, easy-to-use interface,” Chief Product Officer Jeremy Welch told CNBC.
Kraken is the world’s fourth-largest digital currency exchange. TheApp is available on both Andriod and ios platforms. It allows users to invest as little as $10. Apps do not allow credit and debit card payment, but the company says plans enhance offering in the coming months.
The company said it doesn’t offer services to residents of New York and Washington State due to the “Cost of maintaining regulatory compliance.”

Kraken registered as a money services business with U.S Treasury Department FinCEN. And also says it complies “With legal and regulatory requirement in all jurisdictions” where it operates.
Dan held Kraken’s director of growth marketing said last week at Consensus 2021. That the exchange volume recently hit an all-time high, enjoying an $8 billion volume day.
In the May sell-off crypto market, Powell said the company was considering going public in 2022 via direct listing similar route taken by Coinbase.
