The global payments solutions provider Clear Junction said it will stop processing transactions for the world’s biggest crypto exchange, Binance.
The move by Clear junction was brought on by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), recent announcement that “Binance is not permitted to undertake any regulatory activity in the UK.”
“We have decided to suspend both GBP and EUR payment and will no longer be facilitating deposits or withdrawals in favour of or on behalf of the crypto trading platform,” the company said in a blog post.
The company said “it acts in full compliance with FCA regulations and guidance in regards to handling payments of Binance.”
Binance has also had issues with the regulatory climate in Thailand, Cayman, Island, Japan, Ontario, and South Africa. The clear Junction news follows the recent moves by Barclays and Santander Bank.
