Auction house Christie’s is going to hold its second auction for NFT Collectibles called “No Time like present”. According to the reports, the auction will be in Hong Kong in September. “No Time Like Present” will feature the very first NFT sale in Asia offered by Christie’s.
Key highlights of the auction will include a group of exceptionally rare CryptoPunks created by Larva Labs, Yuga Labs’ Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), and Larva Labs Meebits.
Cryptopunks are among the oldest crypto art experiments. Meetbits is Larva Labs’ generative crypto art project. And Bored Ape Yacht Club is the heir apparent to CryptoPunks—a new iteration on the same formula.
The auction begins on September 17 at 2 pm HKT and ends on September 28 at 2 pm HKT. “This sale is poised to set another milestone in the history of Crypto Art,” said in the release.
The NFTs for the upcoming auction come from a single-owner collection. Christie’s although declined to identify the owner. The sale will happen at Christie’s Hong Kong saleroom. The auction will be offering BAYC and Meebits for the first time outside of any NFT-trading platform.
Christie’s has organized some of the most prestigious auction sales. It sells collectibles at enormous prices. Beeple sold his artwork EVERYDAYS: THE FIRST 5000 DAYS for $69 million, making it the highest-paid NFT to date. The auction also helped put Beeple’s artwork as the third biggest sale by a living artist.
