The organization is partnering on a pro-bono campaign with Leo Burnett, a creative advertising agency as per the statement. Leo Burnett is banking on the Laser eyes meme for “out-of-home advertising,” keeping in mind a tech-savvy demographic of potential donors.
Leo Burnett donated over 180 out-of-home advertisements on digital billboards- with QR code to donate from August into September.
“The rise of Dogecoin is further proof that people love dogs,” said Ben Doessel, Associate Creative Director at Leo Burnett. “Our team coupled this trending meme with Paws Chicago which has been a driving force in animal welfare for decades to give dog lovers a new way to make a real impact.”
PAWS Chicago Medical Centre
PAWS Chicago plans to open its hospital for homeless animals called the PAWS Chicago Medical Centre. It aims to cut down on animals being euthanized in shelters, which happens to about 1.5 million of them per year, according to the press release. The company also provides almost 300,000 free or low-cost spay and neuter surgeries.
The new premier medical center permits PAWS Chicago to support the care of more than 28,000 animals each year. It provides care for dogs and cats locally and from 13-high mortality states where pets are at risk of euthanasia. Each donation supports that life-saving work and furthers the organization’s mission.
