Hospitals, schools, police departments, fuel pipelines, food suppliers, and small businesses have all been affected by ransomware attacks, resulting in the disruption of essential services and the loss of lives and livelihoods. We cannot let disruptions, corruption, or malfunctions in our vital infrastructure threaten national and economic security, public health, or our everyday lives.
According to the White House, Cybersecurity Awareness month will elevate the central role that cybersecurity plays in the national security and the economy of the United States.
At the beginning of the year, they began establishing cybersecurity goals for America’s critical infrastructure owners and operators. Additionally, they announced a 100-day initiative to improve cybersecurity across the electric sector.
