In Brief:
- Rob Gronkowski’s NFT will be released on Brady’s Autograph platform
- Collections will follow a similar style to the NFTs of Brady and other athletes
- His NFTs will be available for $12 to $100 each and digitally-signed versions will be available for $250 each
Rob Gronkowski is joining his best friend Tom Brady. He will debut brand new NFTs via Autograph, a platform co-founded by Tom Brady.
Rob Gronkowski was among the first major professional athletes to gain from the NFT market boom, who earned $1.6 million in ETH by selling NFT trading cards. Now the four-time Super Bowl champion will return to NFTs with new collectibles that will be available on his longtime teammate Tom Brady’s platform Autograph.
Gronkowski shared a clip on Twitter of the players, as he wore a shirt with the Autograph logo superimposed on it. “They say blood is thicker than water – so @TomBrady move over, I’m joining the @Autograph family. My signed digital exclusives are headed your way this week.” he wrote in a tweet.
Gronkowski’s new collectibles are all new and will follow a similar style to the NFTs Brady and other athletes have released including Tiger Woods, Simone Biles, Wayne Gretzky, and Naomi Osaka.
The NFT collectibles produced by Autograph are minted on the Polygon platform, a layer-2 scaling solution based on Ethereum, the world’s leading blockchain for digital assets.
Gronkowski’s first Autograph collectibles will be available today, October 12, for $12 to $100 each. The digitally signed versions will be available on October 14, with a price of $250 each.
He sold 830 ETH worth about $1.6 million in March as part of his first launch of NFT trading cards.
