In Brief:
- UnitedMasters partnership with Coinbase will benefit their artists to get paid in crypto.
- The collaboration will give artists full freedom on their money.
- Artists can use cryptocurrencies in Coinbase’s full set of product offerings.
UnitedMasters and Coinbase are collaborating for the music artists to get paid in cryptocurrency like bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.
Now the music artists would have the freedom to accept it in the form of US dollars or cryptocurrency, fully or partly.
In September, Coinbase rolled out a new feature in which the users were allowed to deposit their paycheck directly into their accounts on the crypto exchange.
Coinbase and UnitedMasters offer this partnership to the music artists to offer them more freedom with their earnings.
While UnitedMasters were already aiming at providing artists with the most profit from their music since their launch, now this collaboration offers artists full authority over their pay.
If the artists prefer to accept crypto as their payment, Coinbase offers these features for the cryptocurrencies – spending, borrowing, earning, trading.
Coinbase Chief Product Officer Surojit Chatterjee stated that “We want to make it easy for every company to pay employees in crypto. This is the future of payroll” while talking about this new venture.
UnitedMasters believe this collaboration would provide more opportunities and transparency for the artists. The artists could benefit from the new changes happening in the finance sector and earn more profit with their work.
Not only in the music industry, but Coinbase also has plans to venture into other business sectors to establish cryptocurrency payments.
In the future, we may be able to see more industries paying their employees with cryptocurrency like bitcoin as the crypto industry is growing per second.
