The leading multinational mass media and entertainment company ViacomCBS is taking the first step in the non-fungible tokens (NFTs) market by announcing a partnership with RECUR. RECUR is the NFT marketplace, where users can buy, sell or re-sell NFTs.
RECUR will allocate a space where crypto lovers and fans of ViacomCBS can insert a favorite and digital product as an NFT. Also, they will be allowed to buy, sell and trade digital products across ViacomCBS’s consumer brands including BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, and Showtime Networks.
“Fueled by beloved characters and iconic properties with multi-generational appeal, we are thrilled to accelerate our consumer products presence even further into the growing metaverse,” said ViacomCBS Consumer Products President Pam Kaufman.
ViacomCBS wants to provide a new experience to its fans with a spring 2022 launch by engaging them in peer-to-peer business.
According to RECUR, this approach will give an opportunity to ViacomCBS fans to access their favorite shows and franchise’s NFTs.
Currently, the NFT market is booming as many famous celebrities, athletes, and business firms are locking up with NFT marketplaces such as Opensea, Rarible, Superrare, Mintable, and many others. Recently, Bollywood’s top actor Salman Khan announced the launch of its NFTs for his fans.
