BitTrunks, the NFT offshoot of the parent company Elephant Art Online (EAO), announced the release of world’s first-ever NFT art created by their artist elephant – Tunwa.
The auction for the NFT opens from October 28 at 9.30 a.m. EST and closes on Nov 04 at noon ET on OpenSea. As per the announcement, the elephant-made NFTs will be offered as a physical painting to the winner. The highest bidder will also receive videos and photos captured during the creation process.
NFT Art is a digital art in the digital world that is intangible but can be owned. This non-fungible token is protected and stored by Blockchain Technology, thus making it irreplaceable.
Although this NFT venture isn’t really the first of its kind in the crypto world, it is definitely unique. Unique- because this time the artist is the biggest mammal (and a favourite amongst animal lovers), Tunwa. Tunwa will be assisted by his mahout for the painting, “Tree of Life.”
Speaking of the artist, Tunwa is a 7-year old elephant born and raised at the Maetaeng Elephant Park & Clinic in Thailand. Tunwa’s mahout takes several breaks to keep Tunwa away from boredom or hunger while Tunwa is busy painting. It takes 4-5 hours for maestro Tunwa to complete a painting and his artistic maneuver can even make Monalisa grin. (like really!)
Tunwa is well rewarded each time he completes a painting. He is quite a socialite who loves strolling around with his mahout and friends. One of his famous friends is Suda who has even left Joe Rogan fan-girling.
Dwain Schenck, co-head, BitTrunks said, “We are thrilled to present to collectors and investors alike the first tokenized painting made by the most talented and artistic elephant in the world.”
He also added, “This marks a first in the NFT space for the world’s largest land mammal to create a non-fungible token whose qualities rivals that of a human artist. This is also a historically unique investment opportunity where a portion of the sales proceeds will help support the elephant park where TW lives alongside more than 80 other elephants, as well as the lifesaving medical clinic run by the park.”
NFT arts these days have made their way into elite festivals like Taobao Maker Festival. With Hollywood-Bollywood biggies following the suit of crypto artists, NFTs are gaining popularity among the masses with every passing day. In the midst of such hype, an elephant-created NFT will leave crypto fans trumpet with joy.
So, bid big or lose out!
