Midwest Tungsten service, the manufacturer, supplier of small cubes, bar that weigh several pounds, said it will accept bitcoin via OpenNode, a crypto payment processor.
Previous week CoinDesk reported that the metal supplier had seen the price for retail cube sales rise by 300% in a week. At that moment the company said it was considering accepting crypto.
Tungsten is seeing a surge in demand from crypto traders and other market participants. CMS Holdings and Castle Island’s Nic Carter are also among the crypto market fixtures that jumped on the tungsten bandwagon. CMS Holdings Dan Matuszewski, who told the outlet that “crypto just has a propensity for the density.”
