Chinese online shopping giant, JD.com announced its plan to release the non-fungible tokens(NFTs) series for its JD Discovery conference.
According to the announcement, the JDD conference has a set of 7 editions of NFTs and various JOY images are utilized to identify different forums of the JDD conference. JDD will issue one NFT for free to anyone who signs up for the conference from Monday to Nov. 22 through WeChat mini program.
This is the highest level science and technology event of JD Group. The annual “JD Discovery “JD Global Technology Explorer Conference” (JDD) will be held in Beijing on Nov. 22, 2021.
Users have to sign up for the company conference between Oct 19th and Nov 22nd to get 1 NFT for free. “Every time 1 person is successfully invited to sign up, 1 NFT can be added, and up to 7 NFTs can be obtained,” according to the post.
The 7 NFTs will have JD.com’s mascot, with each representing one of the company’s key sectors like retail, health, finance, and much more. The theme of “Technology Upward and Smarter Future,” the 2021 JD Conference will bring together the world’s top experts and scholars.
The news follows after some major Chinese companies like Alibaba and Tencent announced their NFT projects. In July, the South China Morning Post(SCMP) also launched an NFTs to record historical records on the blockchain.
