Blockchain infrastructure provider Alchemy has raised $250m in Series C funding round led by Andressen Horowitz(a16z), valuing the company at $3.5 billion.
According to the announcement the a16z led the round, with Lightspeed and Redpoint. Additionally, other investors like Coatue, Addition Capital, Pantar and DEJ participated in the round.
The company added various NFT-focused organizations to its list, including Unicorn valuation companies like OpenSea, Dapper Labs and Axie Infinity. The new round adds over $250 million to Alchemy’s coffers.
The company gives developer services to DeFi, non-fungible token(NFT), and other crypto projects. It is also becoming the blockchain world’s version of Amazon Web Services(AWS).
In August the company brought new investors from different industries. At that time the CEO Nikhil Viswanathan said “We’re seeing an explosion of new use cases, new types of users, and new products being built with NFT technology.”
