In the coming weeks, COTI (Currency of the Internet) will debut its long-awaited mainnet 2.0. According to the company, version 2.0 of its mainnet will offer speed and scalability improvements, as well as a COTI platform optimized for scaling.
A new version of the network has been in development for over a year, and hundreds of people have been working on the project to ensure it is successful.
It is noteworthy that COTI’s dedication has paid off, as the mainnet 2.0 upgrade is set to become operational on November 2, 2021, at 2 PM UTC.
With the launch of this service, users will be able to experience an enhanced, reliable digital platform without any prior technical experience.
In version 2.0, COTI has implemented a lot of changes to its database in order to achieve faster transaction processing, despite its Trustchain infrastructure being capable of handling over 100,000 transactions per second (TPS).
Updates were made to RocksDB and the Queue management system, among others, in order to speed up transaction confirmation times. Additionally, some bugs found in the current version will be fixed in the upcoming upgrade.
For this release, COTI has successfully conducted a pilot program to ensure a smooth transition to mainnet 2.0 by moving its node operators to the new version’s testnet.
Earlier at the end of September, COTI also had announced its launch of new algorithmic Stablecoin called Djed for Cardano Network to expand decentralized finance (DeFi) on the network
