The rare “Tiara Punk” NFT 7557 from the Cryptopunk family was just sold for 4.444 ETH, which previously sold for 59.99 ETH. As per the current market value of Ethereum, the value of 4.444 ETH is standing around $19,000, which is 95% down from the current floor price.
The reason behind this ‘Cheapest Cryptopunk NFTs sale’ of this year is still unknown, But many crypto experts are affirming that this sale could be misplaced by the seller with the wrong amount and the buyer took advantage before the seller realized his mistake.
CryptoPunk #7557 contains a female pixel face with Tiara hair, horned rim glasses eyes, purple lipstick on lips, and the mole on the left portion of her face.
As per the intellectuals, the price may have been a big mistake, which depicts from its previous listing history. In past, The previous owner had placed the same NFT for 8,888 ETH ($31 million), which shows the intention of the seller as he might be trying to list for 4,444 ETH ($19 million), But by mistake, he added a decimal point (.) instead of a comma(,).
This mistake made his NFT the cheapest Cryptopunk NFT to sell on the marketplace. The buyer sent a 3.33 ETH “bribe” to the miner (F2Pool) to grab the NFT before anyone else did.
Currently, the NFTs market is hiking with the expansion of the crypto-world. Many Famous NFTs collections have been selling for record-breaking amounts since August. Recently, one Cryptopunk NFT was sold for a whopping $535 million. However, the Punk owner had just used a smart contract and flash loan to just gain attenuation.
CryptoPunk is the collection of digital art or non-fungible tokens, which features 10,000 pixelated faces of different characters like aliens, Zombies, humans, and apes. The collection is one of the oldest NFTs collections, released in 2017 and after launch, it has registered $1.56 billion sales.
