The Indian actor, director, producer and politician Kamal Haasan is all set to become the first Indian celebrity to have a very own digital avatar of himself in a metaverse.
As per reports, it is informed that he has partnered with Fantico, an Indian licensed digital collectibles platform, to launch his own NFT collection. The fan engagement platform, Fantico will also launch his digital avatars. Apart from this, the actor will also have an exclusive space in the world of gaming, as Fantico is launching a game-based metaverse for him.
The newly turned 67-year-old actor said he is excited to explore the new venture. In a press statement, Hassan said, “I am excited to explore the emerging intersection of digital and physical world, which is now becoming popularly known as metaverse..my life’s journey of over six decades have blurred the distinction between my personal and professional life will be my offering for this metaverse.”
With this launch, he has entered the growing digital club that includes biggies like Amitabh Bachhan and Sunny Leone who have ventured into this digital space as well. They too sold their own collection of digital tokens which will be exclusive to the buyers who intend to invest in it.
The project will open up his world to give his fans and followers a sneak peek of the actor’s persona by giving them the opportunity to start interacting with him. It will also provide them the access to his digital avatars, also to buy the souvenirs as NFTs. They can also choose to have meet and greet sessions. Apart from NFTs, Haasan’s souvenirs will also be available to his fans in a physical form.
