Hong kong-based software company, Animoca Brands announced a partnership with Cube Entertainment to create a music metaverse along with non-fungible tokens (NFTs) inspired by famous K-pop music artists and actors.
As per the blog from Animoca Brands, The partnership intends to form NFTs using different digital audio sources such as albums, portraits, and avatars of South Korean artists.
Currently, Cube Ent works with more than 50 K-pop stars including Jo Kwon, BTOB, PENTAGON, CLC, (G)I-DLE, LIGHTSUM, entertainers Park Mi Sun, Lee Hwee Jae, Lee Sang Jun, Kim Kyung Ah, Heo Kyeong Hwan, Lee Eun Ji, actors Park Sun Young, Kim Jin Woo, Na In Woo, Moon Su In, Seoung You, Yoo Seonho, and entertainers Kong Seo Yeong and Jung Ji Woo.
Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands, stated: “K-pop is taking the world by storm, and here at Animoca Brands we can’t wait to work with Cube Ent and its roster of K-pop artists as we continue our efforts to make the open metaverse a reality.”

At present NFTs are in trend and ventures have been formed to create something different in the NFT and metaverse world to grab crypto lovers on their platform. Recently, 3D content developer Unity revealed that the company is planning to acquire Peter Jackson’s Weta Digital.
