On 23rd November, SSC Napoli announced a partnership with the Meme coin brand Floki, which will become the club’s new back-of-shirt sponsor and its logo will also be featured across LED signs at the team’s home stadium.
Floki’s recent partnership with Napoli is seen as a strategic move to establish Floki as a global phenomenon.
“We like to define Floki as the cryptocurrency of the people,” the brand’s marketing department says. “In our plans to be the most known and most used cryptocurrency in the world, SSC Napoli will represent a key asset, given that the club is a global brand with an amazing history together with a fantastic fan base. We can’t wait to start working with them and support SSC Napoli on the pitch thanks to our logo’s presence on the playing jersey.”
With Napoli added to this list, Floki Inu now has partnered with quite a few football clubs including the Kerala Blasters from the Indian Super League and the Spanish La Liga’s Cádiz just like top crypto exchange FTX.
Recently, the Floki Inu team had also signed an endorsement deal with boxing star and two-time world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Fury will feature in the project’s forthcoming play-to-earn NFT game named Valhalla as a part of this promo deal.
Crypto exchanges like FTX have also been in the “race” of grabbing deals with sporting events and sports personalities. Just a week ago, Major League Baseball superstar Shohei Ohtani joined FTX as their global ambassador.
