Christie’s auction house announced a partnership called “Christie’s X Opensea” with the leading NFTs marketplace Opensea to place curated digital art exhibition.
The on-chain auction will take place on the Opensea website on December 1, where bidders can purchase Christie’s-curated NFTs using Ethereum network.
According to the tweet, The viewers and bidders can see the art gallery on Opensea from 1st December to 3rd December. The bidding process will start on December 4, which will end on December 7.
In this auction, numerous digital arts will present by Andre O’Shea, Alpha Centauri Kid, Ash Thorp, Beige, Blake Kathryn, CyberKongz, DotPigeon, EtherRock, FriendsWithYou, Fvckrender, GMUNK, Joshua Davis, KESH, Krista Kim, Maciej Kucera, Mad Dog Jones, Tom Sachs, Olive Allen, Oseanworld, Victor Mosquera, WhIsBe, and Recur.
The sale is also in the news headline due to Mad Dog Jones, who had an NFT sold by Phillips auction house this year. In Christie’s sale, his animated piece named “Forever” will also be placed.
In this auction many prominent pieces of digital art in the form of NFTs will be placed, curated by Christie’s Specialist and Head of Digital and Online Sales Noah Davis, Crypto Collector and Curator Ronnie Pirovino, and NFT NOW.
Selected works from the sale will be on exhibition during Art Basel Miami Beach at “The Gateway,” nft now x Christie’s sensory experience featuring music and art in celebration of a new era of NFT innovation.
“With this collaboration, we are bringing the Christie’s brand boldly onto the blockchain,” said Davis in a press release. “Our collaboration with OpenSea allows us to combine our expert curation and prestigious provenance with the convenience of decentralization.”
At the start of this year, Christie’s marked the record-breaking NFT sale for $69 million on its platform called “Everyday: The First 5000 Days” by famous digital artist Beeple. Recently, Beeple sold the physical sculpture and dynamic NFT ‘Human One’ for a whopping $28.9 million at Christie.
