Socios.com, the absolute influence and rewards app for sports fans all over the world, has announced its partnership with the 2021 Ballon d’Or Awards.
This will mark the return of football’s most coveted individual awards following the cancellation of last year’s ceremony due to the pandemic.
Next Monday, November 29th, Socios.com will have brand visibility on the Red Carpet, where the biggest names in world football will be shining as they make their way to the Parisian Théâtre du Châtelet, on the banks of the Seine, for the ceremony.
Additionally, the creators of Fan Tokens have negotiated an agreement with Amaury Média, the advertising section of the Amaury Group: L’Équipe (newspaper, magazine), L’Équipe website, L’Équipe mobile app, la Chaine L’Équipe, France Football, le Journal du Golf, Vélo Magazine and le Ballon d’Or.
The app will also have two photobooths set up at the ceremony, where the 750 guests could snap a photo with the renowned trophy and win a Fan Token from one of the platform’s 100+ partners.
The Ballon d’Or was initially awarded in 1956 to the finest footballer in Europe, and the inaugural winner was Englishman Stanley Matthews. It has been a global prize since 2007, and all professional players from all around the world are eligible.
Furthermore, the Ballon d’Or Féminin, as well as the Kopa Trophy for the best under-21 player, were founded in 2018 to honour the best female player, which was awarded to Danish Ada Hegerberg. A year later, in 2019, it established the Lev Yachine Trophy for the best goalkeeper of the year.
