In Brief:
- On Saturday, Wolf Game has been started the migration process of Wolf NFTs.
- Nearly 11,500 Sheep and Wolf out of 13,800 were migrated to the new smart contract.
- The Wool Pouches will be distributed from next week.
As per the early announcement from the Shepard, completely Ethereum-based metaverse game, Wolf game has started a migration process on a new smart contract to protect in-game Wolf NFTs such as Wolves and Sheep.
At the time of writing, More than 80% of NFTs have been successfully transferred to the new smart contract.
The protector of the metaverse, Bernhard Mueller, who has recently been appointed to fix the game, has posted a tweet.Â
Due to some technical error, The NFTs minting process was paused. Initially, the game developer planned to mint 10,000 Gen 0 Sheep and Wolves mint with ETH as well as 40,000 Gen 1 Sheep and Wolves to mint with $WOOL, which is a governance token.
But when the glitch occurred, only 13,809 Sheep and Wolves were minted combining both Gen 0 and 1. Owing to this, the rarity in the context of availability reached 4 times lesser than expected, which has created an oversupply of 1.7 Billion $WOOL.
In order to find a solution, The developer has planned to deploy a new smart contract and migrate all minted Sheep and Wolves through migration and to protect $WOOL. Also, ERC-20 tokens were introduced as a Wool Pouch for Wolf NFTs holders to leverage sensible tokenomics to maintain the game’s integrity.Â
As per the Whitepaper published by the platform, The Wool Pouch was planned to distribute on the next day of the Wolf NFTs migration. But now, in order to claim Wool Pouches, Players will have to wait till next week.
As per the official tweet from the Wolf Game on Nov 29, 11,500 Sheep and Wolves have successfully migrated on a new smart contract. The remaining NFTs holders can migrate their NFTs anytime in the future as there is no deadline for it. Players can migrate Wolf NFT by connecting Metamask Wallet with the Website.
Moreover, The game developer has announced a $50,000 bug bounty for the game developer community as well as 3rd party auditors.
