Grubhub, a food delivery platform, announced a partnership with Lolli, a Bitcoin reward app to create an opportunity for people to earn crypto on their food orders.
Grubhub gave details on this partnership that their customers will be able to earn $1 in Bitcoin (BTC) as a reward while ordering through App or extension. Also, users can transfer this reward into Lolli wallet or in the bank account after collecting $15, which is equal to 0.00026 BTC at the current price.
“We must make Bitcoin a part of everyday life,” said Lolli co-founder and CEO Alex Adelman. “Food delivery is a ritual for many and Bitcoin rewards make Bitcoin a part of that ritual.”
Lolli has already tied up with more than 1,000 merchants to give rewards to their customers for online shopping. In this list, leading companies such as Microsoft, Macy’s, also included.
Earlier this year, Lolli raised $10 million in a Series A funding round led by Acrew Capital. At that time the company was aiming for business expansion. Before that, the company closed a funding round at $5 million with famous investors including Seven Seven Six, the venture capital firm co-founded by Reddit executive chair Alexis Ohanian.
This is not the first time when any platform is giving crypto as a reward. Before this, Burger King has locked up a deal with Robinhood to reward their customers with different cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Dogecoin (DOGE).
