In a bid to expand its digital fashion territory, Balenciaga, the Spanish luxurious fashion house has announced its forthcoming business unit focussing on the metaverse.
In an announcement made on December 01, Balenciaga’s CEO Cédric Charbit explained that the aim of this new project is to explore commerce and marketing opportunities in the expanding metaverse.
Commenting on digital fashions, Charbit said that their usability is the point that’s missing, however they are taking huge steps in this direction every day.
When everyone is exploring the exotic metaverse space, why should the fashion industry be left behind. In September, Balenciaga had also collaborated with Fortnite for bringing new twists to the wardrobes of the popular games’ characters.
Moreover, just today, Adidas had first stepped into the metaverse space along its exciting deals with Bored Ape Yacht Club, gmoney NFT, and PUNKS comic.Â
