India’s most popular snooker player and Billiards world champion, Pankaj Advani, is set to launch NFTs in partnership with NFT marketplace Colexion.
The largest licensed NFT marketplace in Asia is Colexion. Colexion claims to be the first company to create a virtual NFT museum for celebrities in the world.
This museum will illustrate the journey of a superstar from their humble beginnings to stardom.
24 times world champion Pankaj Advani stated, “I have been playing since a very young age. This will be a new thing for me to engage with. Decentralised technology is the future and I am ready to play in this new digital playground.”
Colexion is preparing to debut the NFTs, with the first set of Trump Playing Cards expected to be released in the first week of December, according to a press release.
Colexion’s CEO, Abhay Aggarwal, added that, “We believe in making NFTs accessible to everyone in the world. We are also ensuring a transparent ecosystem that makes us stand apart and the first choice of celebrities across the world.”
A lot of prominent sports stars are actively exploring the NFT system and launching their own NFTs as merchandise in order to engage with their fans. In November football star Paul Pogba collaborated with CryptoDragons and bought NFTs.
