U.S national law firm Roche Freedman declared its triumph and got a judgment in the favour of their client W&K Information Defense Research LLC in Kleiman vs. Wright case in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. The Jury verdict orders Craig Wright to pay $100 million to Kleiman.
As per the claim, in the early years of Bitcoin’s introduction, Australian computer scientist Craig Wright had deceived his friend Dave Kleiman and acquired Bitcoin based intellectual property illicitly from W&K Information Defense Research.
While working with Dave Kleiman, Wright wrongfully acquired the intellectual property and insisted his family give fair share of Dave’s contribution. The Case was filed after Dave’s death.
According to the lawsuit firm, The Jury’s decision of a $100 million verdict after four years of litigation, a 15-day trial, and over 800 court filings has set a “historical precedent in the innovative and transformative industry of cryptocurrency and blockchain.”
The latest decision of Jury illustrates that there are lawyers who appreciate crypto space and are able to take action against wrongdoers.
“Our firm, Roche Freedman is honored to have represented the Plaintiffs, protected Dave Kleiman’s legacy, and ensured his family receives the benefits of his labor,” added Freedman and Roche.
