NFL superstar Tom Brady is all set to launch a new NFT collection that highlights his early NFL career.
Brady’s first NFT collection was a big seller, and the new series titled “Live Forever: The Tom Brady Origins Collection,” comprises 16,600 memorabilia from Brady’s early NFL days.
Collectors with Preseason Access Pass will be given priority access and can start collecting on Dec. 7, 2021, at 5 pm ET, and the public drop will be only open from Dec.9.
The Preseason Access Passes are given to the collectors of the NFTs from Tom Brady’s first NFT collection launch.
The new NFT series will be available in the DraftKings marketplace. For preseason pass holders, a mystery container is available for purchase on DraftKings.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback’s College Resume, Combine Stopwatch, Rookie Draft Card, Combine Jersey, and Combine Cleats are all possibilities for the mystery boxes.
Carbon, Platinum, Emerald, Sapphire, and Ruby are the five types of rarity for each of these collectibles.
By the “Activation Deadline,” an individual who gathers five things of the same rarity will earn an Immortal Statue of that rarity.
From the Reveal Date onwards, which is December 14, 2021, users will be able to unlock their mystery boxes.
Tom Brady stated, “When we saw such incredible demand for Autograph’s Preseason Access collection this summer, we knew the very next day that we wanted to start planning for what was next. “It’s such an exciting time in both this industry and personally in my career, so we wanted to commemorate it in real-time as much as possible.”
Brady launched his NFT platform Autograph in April 2021, which saw support from sports stars like Naomi Osaka, Wayne Gretzky, Tiger Woods, skateboarder Tony Hawk, and his Tampa Bay colleague Rob Gronkowski.
Brady and his wife Gisele Bundchen had also partnered with crypto exchange FTX in a long-term deal, which shows they are very vocal with their support towards the crypto-system.
When asked if he was concerned that the NFT market was becoming oversaturated, Brady joked that his main concern was making sure his collection sold out faster than Gronk’s, a nod to his teammate Rob Gronkowski.
