Recognizing Web3 potential in the foreseeable future, Amazon Web Services VP Sandy Carter has joined Web3 startup Unstoppable Domains. Her role as the senior VP for Business Development and Channel Chief will help in expanding the company’s partnerships globally. She even described the move as “an epic adventure into Web3 – the next wave of technology.”
Established in 2018, a San Francisco-based startup, Unstoppable Domains is a leading platform for self-sovereign identity on Web3. The company seeks to be a portal to the decentralized web, selling Ethereum-linked NFT domain names as a more accessible alternative to alphanumeric wallet addresses.
Carter in her Linkedin post mentioned that Unstoppable Domains is revolutionizing the standard domain and loading it up with superpowers. With the company’s current focus is on NFT domain names, she believes that this form of digital identity could also be applied to fields ranging from gaming to education and even to healthcare records.
These NFT domains can also serve as a name on the internet, social profile for Web3, website URL as well as payment address for all cryptocurrencies. In addition to that, it can also be used as the login for the entire decentralized web.
She also expressed her satisfaction in joining the Web3 movement with Unstoppable domains saying the Web3 industry is exploding and is all about the ownership economy, where users own their data. It also offers monetary rewards and perks associated with the online value that users create. Users can also grab $100 in credit to experience web3!
Carter also stated – “Unstoppable is one of those rare startups that became profitable in year 1, before its IPO, and has tremendous growth.” Unstoppable is making seamless and easier crypto transactions, consolidating login, mining NFT galleries, and more. Furthermore, She thinks the future of Web3 needs to be inclusive and her decision to enter this space is an example that Web3 accepts all. She exclaimed – “You have to see it to be it!”
Many crypto trading platforms have already acknowledged Web3. Last month, Coinbase acquired wallet firm BRD to boost Web3 adoption. Web3 is altogether a new concept, as Web1 helped transform social media for Web2, Web3 will take this journey ahead to decentralized culture.
