To commemorate what would have been Stan Lee’s 99th birthday, a Chakraverse limited edition NFT collection based on Indian superhero Chakra The Invincible will be released later this month.
Chakra was co-created by Lee, Sharad Devarajan, and Gotham Chopra. The Invincible is an Indian superhero who lives in Mumbai as a young student named Raju Rai. He acquires his abilities thanks to a specially developed outfit that activates his body’s mystical chakras.
The Chakraverse NFT collection will include an exclusive collectible series of 7000 unique generative art pieces based on the comic characters. Orange Comet, in collaboration with GuardianLink.io, will be auctioning the series. The NFT will be launched on the eco-friendly Polygon blockchain.
BeyondLife.club, powered by GuardianLink.io, introduced the Chakraverse limited edition NFT collection in collaboration with Graphic India, Orange Comet, and Stan Lee’s POW! Entertainment.
Several unique high-end animation exhibition pieces, as well as limited-edition NFTs of Lee’s first ‘Chakra The Invincible’ graphic novel, have been created particularly for the auction.
Lee is a legendary writer and co-creator of the world’s most recognizable superheroes, including Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Hulk, The Avengers, and more. He is widely recognized as one of the finest creators of all time.
His characters have amassed nearly $32 billion in global box office receipts and helped to construct some of history’s most beloved storylines.
Lee said this on Chakra back in 2021, “I have always been fascinated by Indian culture. It’s so philosophical and rich in tradition and morality. I’ve written countless superheroes of every nationality and every part of the world before, I’ve even created many heroes from other planets and galaxies, but Chakra: The Invincible is the first superhero I am creating specifically for the Indian market. My goal with Chakra is simple—I want to bring an Eastern concept like the chakras to the world via the Western genre of superheroes.”
The Chakraverse NFT collection will be auctioned off on Monday, December 27 at 7:30 a.m. IST and will end at 1:30 a.m. IST on Wednesday, December 30.
Devarajan, Co-Founder & CEO of Graphic India stated, “As a young child, Stan Lee’s work shaped my life and spoke to me in a way that no other author or creator ever has, and probably ever will. To be able to create a superhero with Stan was like being asked to paint a canvas with Da Vinci or write a poem with Shakespeare—it was quite simply one of the greatest joys of my life.”
Graphic India and POW! Entertainment is developing Chakra The Invincible as a live-action Hollywood production for viewers all around the world, in addition to comics and animation.
Meanwhile, AMC Theatres announced in November that members of its loyalty programs like AMC Stubs Premiere, AMC Stubs A-List, and AMC Investor Connect will receive NFTs for the first-time ever when they book advance tickets for the release of the “Spider-Man: No Way Home” movie.
