- Snoop talked about how the power of creating art stays within the artist.
Snoop Dogg commonly known as Cozomo de Medici in the NFT world has recently tweeted today if NFTs would really destroy traditional arts?
In the tweet he did mention himself as CozomoMedici, the name that he got after he lashed out spammers for sending him garbage jpegs.
He cited a few instances where he mentioned how Netflix entirely eliminated Blockbuster.
He added a few more examples where he mentioned how social media like Instagram, YouTube podcasting have become mainstream and how studios became powerless by getting closed.
With similar analogy he even explained how the art industry faced the transition in the recent past. He mentioned how for decades the royals and the aristocrats enjoyed traditional arts and decided it’s worth. But now in this era the tables have turned and now it’s NFT artist’s time where they are earning millions from their digital arts.
In this new trend of art no galleries or museums are required and just NFT marketplaces that provide these digital arts are sufficient to win millions. All the power of creating art & celebrating it stays within the artist & the art lovers.
He also cited that with this power even small villagers with the aspiration of becoming the most noted artist can be true. They can now build a global following and international community around their work by creating great art.
All this NFT craze started with LarvaLabs CryptoPunks back in 2017 but finally got its popularity in May 2021 costing $16.9 million.
He also mentioned the XCOPYART and his achievements, how he bagged millions for his NFTs in just the last 3 months. Not to forget Snoop Dogg’s recent purchase was an NFT called “Right-click and Save As Guy” from XCOPYART.
He finally concluded by saying to spread this message as much as possible to encourage young artists that they too have power now and may do wonders with their creations.
