e-Commerce giant Shopify launched its NFT Beta program which would assist users to mint and sell NFTs.
The firm has partnered with GigLabs NFT, a startup that specializes in providing tools to develop, mint, and trade NFT based on the Flow blockchain, to provide this new service.
Only Shopify Plus merchants based in the United States are eligible for the NFT Beta program.
Users interested in connecting the GigLabs NFT app with their Shopify Plus accounts should contact GigLabs directly for more details.
The NFTs may also be minted in other blockchains like Ethereum, Polygon, Near, and Flow by teaming with its partner apps.
NFT enthusiasts may buy the items using a range of options, including Shopify Payments and Shop Pay. Payments can be made with cryptocurrencies, credit cards, or debit cards.
Users that buy NFTs will receive an email containing the NFTs, which they can subsequently deposit to their digital wallets directly.
“Our growing NFT app ecosystem demonstrates our commitment to offering merchants an accessible approach to selling digital assets directly through their Shopify stores,” stated Shopify’s Product Director, Robleh Jama.
Shopify isn’t a newbie to the world of NFTs as in August of this year, Shopify allowed merchants on its platform to sell NFTs directly to the users. Chicago Bulls Franchise is one of Shopify’s first partners to launch an NFT titled ‘Legacy Collection.’
