Instagram, one of the most popular social media sites, has stated that it is “actively exploring” the NFTs craze.
Instagram’s CEO, Adam Mosseri, used the “story” feature to predict a bright future for NFTs on the worldwide popular social media platform.
Although he didn’t make any official pronouncements about NFTs, he did say that Instagram’s goal is to make the tokenized realm more approachable to the general public.
He also mentioned that Instagram is attempting to assist its producers through NFTs.
He said, “nothing to announce yet but we are definitely actively exploring NFTs and how we can make them more accessible to a broader audience. I think it’s an interesting place that we can play and also a way that hopefully helps creators.”
Although Instagram has remained one of the most popular apps since the outbreak started, it appears like Instagram is leaning toward TikTok’s NFT approach.
Also earlier, Social media giant Facebook also showed interest by engaging itself into activities relating to NFT. It was this August when Facebook included NFT features in its digital wallet.
According to Mosseri’s comments on Instagram about NFTs, Instagram, like TikTok, would tokenize its viral influencers and their content.
