Data provider DeGenData has announced the sale of its Cryptopunk #5671 NFT along with its business IP. This means the new owner of the punk will have access to all DeGenData products and assets.
DeGenData revealed that Cryptopunk #5671 which is now owned by them, will be put up for sale on January 1st, Midnight UTC.
With this sale, DeGenData will become the first business to be sold as an NFT.
DeGendata believes that selling an NFT and a product or asset together begins to push the limit of what NFTs can be.
“We see the lines of what NFTs are beginning to blur. Digital and physical worlds are intertwined now. NFTs aren’t just profile pictures. They are becoming the value of what you create around them. It is time for us to push the space to think more about what NFTs represent,” stated the platform.
This sale also intends to expand Genesis Volatility, another crypto analytics platform from the parent company of DeGendata.
The NFT sale proceeds will be utilized to make Genesis Volatility reach its full capability as the company aims to be the industry leader in crypto options analytics and DeFi crypto options.
CryptoPunk #5671 NFT is one of 6039 Male Punk NFTs. The punk has 2 attributes: Goat and Crazy Hair. Total 295 punks have Goat as an attribute while there are 414 punks with Crazy Hair as an attribute.
The CryptoPunk #5671 and the business will be available for sale for 420.69 ETH, which is nearly $1.6 million at the current market price, according to DeGenData’s official website.
CryptoPunks NFT art sales are a leading indicator for the rest of the NFT market, demonstrating that some people are willing to spend a significant amount of money on blockchain-based art. Last week CryptoPunk #4156 got sold for 2,500 ETH, worth $10.26 million, making it one of the most expensive NFT sales in the CryptoPunk collection history.
