On Tuesday, Aleph.im, a cross-blockchain decentralized storage and computing network announced that it will offer decentralized storage for dynamic NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) on Ubisoft Quartz.
With this partnership, players will be able to acquire dynamic NFTs called Digits on Quartz which in turn, will be used in Ubisoft’s AAA game, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint. It is worth mentioning that Ubisoft’s new platform – Ubisoft Quartz was just launched a week ago.
The dynamic NFT called Digits are meant to be played with in-game but they also let players put them on sale on Rarible and Objkt for other eligible players to buy.
As per the official post, the NFT metadata will be stored on aleph.im’s fully decentralized storage system which is of over 70 nodes. Aleph.im will be able to securely store and generate the metadata of these NFTs with the help of microVMs.
Also, all NFT ownerships will be traced on the Tezos blockchain.
On December 10, Ubisoft had reportedly received backlash when it first announced its entry into NFTs. With its foray into ‘dynamic NFTs’, Ubisoft seems to settle down its player’s concerns.
