Team Vitality, a global eSports group, has partnered with Tezos to become the blockchain’s primary technical partner. Tezos and Team Vitality have teamed up to develop a three-year fan interaction programme on the tezos blockchain.
The relationship, which will run from 2022 to 2024, was announced in a press release and is said to be the largest since Team Vitality’s establishment. It is one of the biggest partnership in European esports history
Nicolas Maurer, CEO of Team Vitality, commented on the deal: “This is truly a game-changing partnership for Vitality, which feels appropriate given 2022 is set to be the biggest year in our history. The opportunities Tezos can bring to strengthen the relationship between us and our fans is incredibly exciting, and we’re immensely proud to have Tezos join us on this journey.”
Team Vitality stated that the collaboration will assist their followers on the benefits of blockchain as part of the game experience and showcase the advancements of these technologies as part of the new agreement. It will also create unique opportunities for fans to have unrestricted access to their favourite clubs and great players, as well as reward them for their years of support.
“Tezos will be represented by top-performing Team Vitality rosters and star athletes and through unrivaled brand visibility across the esports ecosystem,” Team Vitality said in a press release.
The relationship looks to include brand recognition for Tezos, presumably via sponsorship logos on Team Vitality players’ jerseys.
Last year, the Layer 1 blockchain, which is known for its energy efficiency, signed numerous important agreements to increase its visibility. Tezos announced in June that it would launch collectible NFTs for Red Bull Racing and also hosted NFT collections for the likes of Mike Shinoda. Tezos’ low carbon footprint was cited by both parties as a consideration in their decision to collaborate with the blockchain.
