Paris Hilton surprised everyone through her action in Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she has gifted NFTs to the audience and host of the show, Jimmy Fallon.
In the TV show, Paris Hilton declared her first NFTs collection with Superplastic on the Origin protocol. However, she didn’t reveal a specific time period for the NFT launch. Superplastic is a vinyl toys & digital collectibles company.
Also, she has called metaverse the “future of partying, going out, interacting with people, and being social.”
The launch of the NFT collection entitled “Forever Fairytale” consists of a glimpse of memories of Paris Hilton with her new husband Carter Reum. The first NFT was gifted to Jimmy Fallon and then it was distributed to audience members.
Jimmy Fallon said, “I think that’s the first NFT giveaway in television history”. A few days ago, Superplastic launched the ‘Headtripz” NFT collection with the featuring of Paris Hilton’s collaborative pieces.
Earlier, Paris Hilton revealed that she has been investing in crypto since 2016 after she “became friends with the founders of Ethereum.” Thenceforth, she has collected numerous NFTs from different admirable NFT collections. Currently, Paris Hilton holds 141 NFTs from popular NFT collections such as Bored Ape and works by Grimes and Steve Aoki.
In an interview, Hilton has also revealed the picture of Bored Ape NFT she owns and said the story behind that buying, “I want something that reminds me of me. But this one, it’s—it does.” Hilton’s Bored Ape contains an image of a red ape with a black cap.
In an early interview, she revealed that she got the inspiration to buy NFT from Jimmy’s interview with Beeple. Fallon also holds bored Ape NFTs with black and white lining T-shirt, captain hat and red heart shaped glass.
The action was praised by many fans and other celebrities from the NFT community including Snoop Dogg. Snoop Dogg posted a tweet from his NFT collector pseudonym Cozomo de’ Medici applauded Hilton for expanding the NFT community.
Over the last few months, many celebrities across the globe joined the NFT space and also came forward to promote metaverse. On new year’s eve of 2021, the Paris Hilton launched its metaverse platform Paris World on online gaming platform Roblox, where she played a DJ set for a virtual audience.
“I think it’s important for people to not only be in the physical world but also to be in the digital world,” she said in an interview with Bloomberg.
