In Brief:
- Kanye West responds to the requests to create NFTs saying “he is not on that wave right now.”
- He shared an image with a message that reads “Don’t ask me to do a F-ing NFT”
- He signed it with a witty remark “Ask me Later”
American rapper and fashion designer Kanye West, aka Ye, who is quite famous for his hot takes and remarks, is back in the news again. This time with much emphasis in an all-caps Instagram post saying, “STOP ASKING ME TO DO NFT’s I’M NOT FINNA CO-SIGN” He went on to say, he is not on that wave “for now” and will make music and products in the real world.
A contradictory image that he shared along with it said – “Do not ask me to do a F-ing NFT, Ask me later.” His witty remark on NFTs had a mixed reaction among his fans, which was anticipated considering his way of dropping hints.
The image was shared with a message “My focus is on building real products in the real world, real food, real clothes, and real shelter.” Well, there is so much ambiguity on what Kanye is up to but one thing which we have been witnessing for quite some time now is, the music industry is inclining towards NFTs.
Yesterday, Justin Bieber purchased BAYC NFT and joined the Ape club that already has big names as its members including Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Post Malone, Stephen Curry, Marshmallow, Steve Aoki, Kevin Hart, Neymar Jr., and the list goes on and on.
Among them, Snoop Dogg took a step further and plans on launching his own NFT collection “Snoop Avatars” soon. NFT fun has just begun and soon there will be more music sensations jumping onto the bandwagon.
