Disney is looking for an NFT expert to assist and oversee the entertainment company’s efforts in this ever expanding crypto space. Every time you turn around, it seems like another company or celebrity is attempting to join the NFT bandwagon.
According to the job description, the “manager of business development” for Disney’s digital experiences team will be in charge of “watching the shifting marketplace, creating category strategy, and managing important partners.”Â
The manager’s responsibilities will include finding growth opportunities by category, franchise, and distribution, executing new deals to address gaps, and tracking and evaluating category trends and market data to maximise business in each segment.
Candidates must have a minimum of five years of licensing or business development experience, as well as a deep understanding and love for the digital and NFT sectors and a great command of Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Keynote.
The metaverse, an immersive online world where users can work, play games, and interact with others as avatars in a computer-generated environment, is expected to include NFTs as a crucial component.
Disney kicked off this New Year with a bang, presenting its first ever Iconic Mickey and Friends NFT Collection in conjunction with digital collectibles platform VeVe, signaling plans to expand into the crypto business.
An NFT is a one-of-a-kind digital token that can be used to turn anything digital into a collected asset, from tweets to GIFs to videos. NFTs, like Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, are traded on the blockchain. By encrypting the creator’s signature on the blockchain, non-fungible tokens ensure validity and ownership.
