Orange Comet., Inc announced its partnership with the record-breaking series ‘The Walking Dead’ television network AMC to jointly produce digital memorabilia and NFTs of the show.
The collections will include 750 original 3D animations inspired by the show and its surroundings priced at $250 each, as well as 10,000 generative artwork based on leading characters such as Daryl & Carol from the series at $50 each.
Not only this but Orange Comet will also sell a series of ultra-rare NFT “Walker Access Passes” which is up for grabs within 24 hours and will grant holders exclusive access to future NFT drops later in 2022 after which the company will not issue any more passes for a full year.
“We’re honored to offer fans the opportunity to deepen their love for The Walking Dead and its universe through our ongoing collection of innovative, eco-friendly NFTs and partnership with AMC,” said Dave Broome, CEO of Orange Comet in a press release.
Paying homage to one of the most powerful franchises in the history of television, the collection will span across multiple drops beginning on February 20th at 10 a.m. PST alongside the return of the show with its final season’s Part 2 of 3. They will be sold on the Orange Comet Marketplace powered by Eluvio’s blockchain technology. The NFT deal was brokered by licensing agent Striker Entertainment.
The trend of memorabilia NFTs is ongoing through several other artists as well as festivals like Coachella – to connect the audience with their favorites.
