One of the top football clubs, Manchester United collaborates with Tezos blockchain on a $27 million sponsorship deal per year.
According to the Athletic’s report, Tezos’ logo will be featured on Manchester United’s training kit as part of the multi-year deal.
This partnership follows Manchester United’s previous eight-year alliance with American insurance firm AON, which expired at the end of last season.
The deal with AON spanned over 8 years with a combined $162M, and that means Tezos is offering 33% extra than the insurance company.
“The Red Devils” have begun to promote the sponsorship on its club’s center. The Carrington ground, which houses the team’s youth academy, will not feature Tezos Logo.
Just last month FC Barcelona announced plans about a collaboration with the blockchain protocol Polkadot. If the partnership is finalized, Polkadot will become the team’s official jersey sponsor.
Tezos is expanding its influence in the sports industry with multiple collaborations. Recently, Tezos blockchain partnered with Team Vitality, a global eSports group, to develop a three-year fan interaction programme. It is one of the largest collaborations in European esports history.
