In an exciting tweet, the cryptocurrency exchange FTX has announced ‘Bitcoin giveaway’ as a part of its ad campaign for Super Bowl LVI on Sunday, February 13. The giveaways are celebrating the cryptocurrency exchange marking its first spot during the NFL championship game.
However, this ad campaign has a twist to it!
The time ad runs will decide the ‘size of the bitcoin giveaway’. The tweet explained this catch saying that if it airs at 8:47 p.m, the exchange will give away 8.47 bitcoins, accounting to $371,240 (as of this writing). Thus, a total of four contest winners will split that particular number of coins.
Anyone who follows the firm’s Twitter account and retweets the pinned tweet after the ad is aired would be eligible to win. The airtime slot for the ad is scheduled in the game’s second half, which is slated to start at 8 PM ET.
The prize will be split between four people. However, No purchase is necessary to win the giveaway. Participants must also be legal residents of the U.S., although New Yorkers are excluded.
FTX first announced its purchase of the Superbowl ad time slot in October 2021, wanting to reach a wider audience. The Superbowl has an estimated TV audience of 92 million viewers.
Big firms and Crypto have for long been a great ‘marketing pair’, exclusively benefiting each other. And that’s the reason why no one wants to miss out on exploring crypto space.
For instance, just recently, the Beer giant, Bud Light’s commercial included an imagery from the Nouns Ethereum NFT project.
