- Boss Beauty Role Models will be sold via charity auction culminating on March 7th, 2022 to fund for Women and Girls.
Boss Beauties, an NFT Project for women empowerment in society, revealed a new limited-edition 1/1 NFT series: Boss Beauties Role Models. The United Nations is going to display the collection at the UN headquarters in New York City to celebrate International Women’s Day.
This is the first time that the NFT art collection will be displayed at the United Nations’ event, which is going to be organized on 8th March. The event is the result of the collaboration of the 5th element group.
The event will be live streamed so everyone can be part of the festivities. It will also include a full day of keynotes and panels with speakers from well known brands, corporations, and influencers.
Cathay Hackl, who is also known as a Godmother of the Metaverse, has collaborated with Boss Beauties to create Role Models limited edition. As per the team “this is dedicated to the young girls who were told NO as well as women who said, just watch me.”
The collection features real-life Boss Beauties from history and modern Boss Beauties that are icons for many others today. These NFTs will be given to real-life role models.
The limited Boss Beauty Role Models collection has been listed on the OpenSea NFT marketplace to be sold via a charity auction on March 7. As per OpenSea, the collection has 10,000 items with a floor price of ETH 2.35.
“The unveiling of Boss Beauty Role Models at the United Nations is a historical moment that we are incredibly proud of,” said Lisa Mayer, Founder and CEO of Boss Beauties. “Most importantly, it resembles our larger mission to empower Women and Girls at the forefront of technology, leadership and creativity.”
The NFT representation in the United Nations is a historical moment for NFT space. After this, the NFT trend can mark new heights in the upcoming future. However, U.N is been in the NFT space since last year when it took the climate initiative named DigitalArt4Climate and turned the winner’s art into NFT.
So the Role Models won’t be the first NFTs displayed by the UN, they’ll be the first female-focused collection to be featured—and likely create major exposure for works illustrated by a female artist.
