Famous Food giant multinational company, McDonald’s following the trend, takes a dive into the metaverse, where already many giant divers such as Adidas, Nike, and Walmart are selling shellings.
A document revealed McDonald’s filing for 10 new trademarks for its foray into metaverse and to create a virtual food experience for its consumers.
Josh Gerben, a trademark attorney, disclosed documents from McDonald’s filing for “McDonald’s”, “McCafe” and its golden-arches symbol on February 9.
Documents disclosed that IC009 stands for “downloadable multimedia files containing artwork, text, audio and video files and non-fungible tokens.” Non-fungible tokens are digital collectibles that play a crucial role in the development of the metaverse.
Last year, McDonald’s celebrated McRib’s 40th anniversary by launching NFT.
IC041 and IC043 will imply “virtual concerts and events” and “virtual goods and operating an online restaurant featuring home delivery” in the metaverse.
