OnlyFans, an online subscription platform known for its adult content, is the latest addition to the club of platforms that have launched a feature to allow users to keep NFT as their profile pictures.
According to a Reuters report, the NFT profile picture feature was already available since last December.
OnlyFans CEO Ami Gan stated this about the offering, “Our mission is to empower creators to own their full potential. This feature is the first step in exploring the role that NFTs can play on our platform.”
OnlyFans will acknowledge only NFTs issued on the Ethereum blockchain and will display an Ethereum emblem on NFT profile images to verify their authenticity.
Users will see more information about the NFT from OpenSea when they click on each NFT profile picture.
OnlyFans is just one of the social media platforms that have jumped into launching NFT profile pictures. Meta and Youtube are also planning to integrate NFT-related options on their platforms. Reddit is already working on the NFT profile picture feature following the lead of Twitter.
