Reese Witherspoon’s media production company, Hello Sunshine and World of Women (WoW) announce their partnership to expand the universe of WoW’s NFTs into film/show adaptations.
In Brief:
- WoW NFT holders can work in collaboration in the development of NFT characters in the media produced by Hello Sunshine.
- This is done to achieve inclusivity and diversity in the male-dominated NFT space and educate women.
The deal between the Big Little Lies actress and one of the most successful NFT collections is focused on developing feature films and scripted/unscripted shows based on the WoW (a female-focused NFT community) NFT collection. Not only that, Reese Witherspoon in an interview, claimed that the NFT holders will have a say in the development and production process of the media projects.
“While the crypto and NFT space is largely dominated by men, there are inspiring leaders like World of Women creating incredible communities for women during this massive shift for media and technology,” Reese Witherspoon expressed.
The storytelling partnership is to break open the doors of the NFT world to include diverse creators and educate women about this space and turn art into powerful stories. For the same, there will be a live event hosted by Hello Sunshine and World of Women to talk and share ideas with other women-led NFT projects like WoW.
The reason for this collaboration is that Witherspoon sees World of Women’s female focus as aligned with her production company.
“Hello Sunshine has been changing the narrative for women in Hollywood and we know they can play an instrumental role in shaping the narrative for women in the NFT space,” said Yam Karkai, Co-founder and artist for WoW.
World of Women is the first NFT collection to go mainstream in media adaptation of any kind.
The woman-focused NFT collective has gathered appreciation in the past too. Witherspoon has shown her support for the company by using one of their NFTs as her profile picture. And, Snoop Dogg did not have enough words to express his overwhelming interest in the World of Women NFTs.
However, WoW isn’t the first to attract Hollywood celebrities into the NFT art maze. While some sign promotional deals, most of them own these NFTs. Recently, Bored Ape Yacht Club became an iconic NFT brand with some of the A-listers of Hollywood investing in it.
