A new proposal arrives from AssangeDAO asking the members if the ability to mint $JUSTICE be permanently closed.
AssangeDAO was formed to raise funds for Julian Assange’s legal fees and campaigns using NFTs.
AssangeDAO placed the highest bid of 16,593 ETH, approximately $53 Million, acquiring artist Pak’s Clock NFT from the Censored collection, serving its purpose at the end. Â
The DAO now presents a proposal to its members stating that it has no plans to mint more $JUSTICE tokens at this moment.
Right now the contract currently allows the DAO to mint more $JUSTICE tokens if the DAO token holders decide that more should be minted in the future.
But it is opening a voting process asking if the ability to mint more $JUSTICE tokens should be closed or just leave it as it is.
The voting starts on February 23rd, 10:25 PM and ends on February 26th, 10:25 PM so basically the members have almost 72 hours to participate in the voting event.
The option with more than 50% votes will be implemented by the DAO. 20% of the community is supposed to interact with the process.
In addition, the AssangeDAO revealed a proposal titled Core Mission, which asks whether the DAO should continue to focus on its founding premise of “Free Assange by All Means Necessary” or pursue other activities.
