German Sports brand, Puma registered their name with the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) Domain for its NFT collection. The company changed its Twitter name to Puma.eth.
In Brief:
- The rename places Puma to 13th rank in the list of top .eth Twitter account.
- The brand has 18 NFTs and also intends to dive into the upcoming web 3.0 revolution.
Puma’s competitor brands Nike and Adidas already entered the NFT space through different projects. Nike already jumped into the metaverse in collaboration with RTFKT to curate NFTs in December. Adidas fetched $23 million from its ‘Into the Metaverse’ NFT collection, which was made in collaboration with BAYC, GMoney, and Punk Comics.
However, it is not too late for Puma to embrace this booming space. After getting registered as its domain with .eth, the brand jumped to 13th on the list of most-followed accounts with .eth names on Twitter.
Paris Hilton and Shaquille O’Neal are holding the top spots in the leaderboard of most-followed accounts with .eth on Twitter.
Another major brand, Budweiser, a subsidiary of Anheuser-Busch InBev, also got its ENS domain on OpenSea for 30 ETH last year.
Puma also minted 18 NFTs with a feline collection from Opensea, which includes Cool Cat #32, Gutter Cat #1110, lazy Lion #4609, Kuddle Koala NFT, and others.
Along with decentralized URLs, Puma also joined hands with Catblox for an NFT collection.
The brand also intends to dive into the upcoming metaverse and web 3.0 revolution. On the official website, the company posted a job for Digital Culture Manager and a Brand Associate Creative Director.
