India-based multinational IT firm Infosys revealed a new business vertical through the launch of Metaverse Foundry. The new launch will enable “fast-track” enterprises to explore metaverse products and services.
“Infosys metaverse foundry helps enterprises navigate the metaverse by partnering with them through the Discover-Create-Scale cycle,” according to the company press release.
The new launch will provide 100 ready-to-use templates and use cases for metaverse explorations. These templates will also enable enterprises on the threshold of the metaverse to provide immersive interactions with virtual and augmented environments.
The firm will also guide an enterprise about metaverse environments and tools behavior for their consumers, workplaces, products, and operations.
“The physical and virtual worlds are already smoothly and ubiquitously interwoven. The metaverse will deepen this overlap in very experiential ways that will create abundant space for business innovation.
“We want to help our clients to quickly double down on those opportunities in a find-fast, learn-faster environment before they can reorient their capabilities, processes, and culture in-house to respond to this rapidly evolving space,” Ravi Kumar S, President, Infosys, said.
According to the firm statement, Metaverse Foundry is already in action and used by partners and businesses. For instance, the platform was used during the Australian Open 2021 to create a digital-physical store experience for fans.
India’s leading companies are falling into the metaverse space after watching its potential in the near future. Recently, India’s largest telecom company Reliance Jio acquired a 25% stake in ‘Two Platforms’ to explore metaverse space.
