The television network AMC has collaborated with the premium NFT creation company Orange Comet to create graphic and macabre The Walking Dead NFTs. The drop was first announced in February 2022. The Walking Dead is a long-running hit television series on the AMC network, with its latest season ongoing.
The show’s popularity is evident from the fact that the collection sold out within less than 24 hours of its release on 3 March. Its fan base includes not only the common man but also celebrities such as Snoop Dogg who tweeted praises of the NFT collection and its uniqueness.
The creators released a special Walker Access Pass, which also sold out in less than 24 hours. The 5000 passes were sold at 0.11 ETH per piece on OpenSea and will be minted for the first time on 18th March.
The Walker Access Passes features 10 amazing 3D walker models split into five categories. Each pass holder will be treated like a VIP and will get lifetime early access to all NFT drops of The Walking Dead collection, as well as early access to public drops and free airdrops. However, the cherry on the top for these Pass holders is the first-look access to the upcoming Walking Dead virtual universe.
For the lovers of the rare collectibles, the collaboration also includes the drop of four 100% unique gold NFTs named ‘Survivor Series – Gold Edition’ and will feature NFTs of Michonne, Maggie, Rick, and Daryl. It is a 48 hours auction that started on the 3 March with an opening bid of 0.11 ETH.
The collaboration will result in drops of The Walking Dead NFTs all year long. The trend of minting NFTs has taken over every industry, from The Walking Dead to Coachella, no one is immune to the trend of these vivid artworks.
