In what can be considered a huge leap for Boss Beauties, a women-focused NFT project, comes the news of its digital collaboration with Barbie. The news comes as a part of the Boss Beauties Role Model collection, which is going to be the first-ever NFT collection displayed in the U.N. on 8th March, Women’s Day.
Mattel-owned Barbie and Boss Beauties are going to drop an exclusive digital asset. Mattel plans to release a Barbie NFT featuring a diverse assortment of Barbie careers, designed to empower women and girls at the forefront of technology and creativity.
The collection is scheduled to be auctioned from 9-12th march via OpenSea. To add to the delight is the fact that all the proceeds will go to the Barbie Dream Gap Project, a global initiative to raise awareness about the limiting factors that prevent girls from reaching their full potential.
“We all know that kids are impressed by what they see around them. That’s the reason it’s so essential for younger women to see themselves in function fashions who’ve daringly pushed previous roadblocks and overcome the Dream Hole to turn out to be the courageous girls they’re at present,” mentioned Lisa McKnight, Senior Vice President at Barbie.
Not only is this collaboration historic, it is events like this that pave the path for the girls and women of the future by virtue of its collaborative spirit and by becoming the first female-focused collection to be featured in the U.N.
