Unstoppable Domains, the popular platform for user-controlled digital identity on Web3 today announced the granting of $10M for the “Unstoppable Women of Web3” initiative. As much as 70 leading Web2 and Web3 companies will be a part of this campaign.
The leading organizations including Google Cloud, Blockchain.com, Deloitte, Polygon, Gemini and Consensys have joined the initiative. Unstoppable Domains will distribute over $10M worth of NFT domains to support women in their Web3 journey.
Unstoppable Women of Web3 is a diversity and education group established with the aim of training the next generation of talent to equalize the playing field early in the Web3 era.
Describing diversity as their goal, Sandy Carter, SVP of Unstoppable Domains and Founder of Unstoppable Women of Web3 said, “With education, community, and mentoring, we’re lowering the barrier to entry for women and creating investment, job opportunities, and training for millions of women around the world.”
Unstoppable Women of Web3 will encourage women to learn, participate and drive diversity in the Web3 community, with a focus on how women can bring their superpowers to impact the space. As per the chalked out plan, the objectives include how to get started, creators including art, music, gaming, the technology of Web3 (including blockchain), and more.
Besides, the group will work on community building, investing, and teaching women how to be change-makers.
Twitter Spaces, Discord, Telegram and in-person events, starting with a live event at SXSW in Capital Factory’s HQ will be the platforms used for sharing the content and educating. Unstoppable Domains Learning and Development will be sharing content with all WoW3 community members.
Talking of women’s participation in the Crypto space, there’s still a long way to go. And in the spirit of this initiative, we too did our little! We celebrated International Women’s week instead of ‘Women’s day’ and featured some of the biggest female NFT artists including Yam Karkai, Nude yoga girl, Maggie West, Seneca and many more to inspire women across this space.
